Loudspeakers, processing, and room control

The QSC website directs customers to QSC Audio for sound reinforcement products and Q-SYS for integrated audio, video, and control. XL AV evaluates loudspeakers, amplification, processing, and control requirements as parts of the complete system.

Q-SYS provides programmable processing and control for applications such as conferencing, divisible rooms, paging, and venue audio. Processor capacity, supported peripherals, network requirements, and feature licensing need to match the project.

DSP and network configuration

We design microphone and playback routing, room zones, equalization, loudspeaker delay, protection settings, and user controls. For conferencing, we configure AEC reference paths and connections to the meeting system, then check incoming and outgoing audio during actual calls.

Network planning includes the selected endpoints, switch requirements, device addressing, access permissions, and IT responsibilities. We document configuration and discuss monitoring or remote management when those functions are included in the scope.

Defining a room standard

For several rooms, provide room types, expected occupancy, conferencing platforms, and the controls staff need. XL AV can define consistent source labels and operating modes while accounting for differences in microphones, loudspeaker layouts, and partition arrangements. Existing QSC or Q-SYS model numbers help establish reuse and expansion options.
