Impact-resistant face and trim
A protective LED mask keeps air-inflated sports balls off the diodes. Micro-grooves help perceived contrast. Perimeter trim protects edges as part of the mechanical design.
Sports
Community rinks run ice, dry-floor sport, and civic events in the same building. XL AV specifies a front-service indoor LED wall for that calendar, not an NHL-style ribbon clone.
A community arena is learn-to-skate, tournaments, dry-floor basketball, and rentals. The display has to survive that mix and still be usable by rink staff, not only a game-day crew.
XL AV specifies LUXVISION PROLUX Rugged as an indoor wall for rink rooms and adjacent gyms. This is not outdoor dasher-board product.
Fanless electronics, locking cables, and onsite spares are the documented service model. Front service matters when the wall is on structure with no rear access.
We specify processing, announcements, and control with the rest of the room so staff can run a tournament Saturday and a dry-floor event Sunday.
Ice and dry-floor lighting differ. The wall has to read in both. We operate PROLUX Rugged around 2,100 nits and coordinate scenes when lighting control is in the project.
Rink PA and event audio belong with the display. We specify or integrate them so announcements and program sound are not a separate leftover system.
Rink managers need a path they can hand to event staff. LUXVISION typically uses NovaStar processing. Training happens at commissioning.
We start with the room: dimensions, viewing distance, how it is used, structure, power, and whether audio, lighting, and live video are in the project. Then a specification, coordination with the facilities team, installation, commissioning, and operator training. Spare modules stay on site so a failed cabinet is swapped, not left dark.
PROLUX Rugged
A protective LED mask keeps air-inflated sports balls off the diodes. Micro-grooves help perceived contrast. Perimeter trim protects edges as part of the mechanical design.
Earlier rugged products could lose magnetic modules on a hard hit. PROLUX Rugged uses a quarter-turn metal-to-metal interlock so modules stay on the wall and still service from the front.
Current PROLUX Rugged warranty context is 7 years, including impact from air-inflated sports balls.
Modules, cabling, and feeder access are designed from the front. That is required when a gym display is mounted tight to a wall with no rear aisle.
Gyms collect dust. Fans ingest that dust and then fail. PROLUX Rugged uses the cabinet as a heat sink with Mean Well supplies. There is no cooling fan in the documented architecture.
Pixels capable of about 3,900 nits are operated around 2,100 nits. The intent is less heat and less electrical infrastructure than driving the diodes to their maximum.
No. This page is an indoor video wall for rink rooms and mixed-use ice houses.
Yes. That is a normal community-arena calendar. Control is specified so staff can switch modes.
Yes. Outdoor exposed faces use a different LUXVISION family.
Front-service modules and onsite spares. A failed cabinet is swapped, not left dark.
