Impact-resistant face and trim
A protective LED mask keeps air-inflated sports balls off the diodes. Micro-grooves help perceived contrast. Perimeter trim protects edges as part of the mechanical design.
Civic
Municipal gyms host youth sport, public meetings overflow, and community programs. XL AV specifies a durable indoor LED wall for that public-facility duty cycle, with audio, lighting, and control when the room needs them.
A municipal gym is sport and a civic hall. A lobby digital-signage tile cannot take basketballs. A numeric scoreboard cannot run a town-hall overflow. The wall has to do both.
XL AV specifies LUXVISION PROLUX Rugged: Canadian-made indoor dvLED with sports-ball impact coverage in the current 7-year warranty context.
Parks-and-rec and facilities staff should be able to operate the wall after commissioning. We specify control, train, and leave onsite spares.
Front service matters when the display is on a structural wall in a public gym.
Civic gyms are bright for long public hours. We operate PROLUX Rugged around 2,100 nits and coordinate lighting scenes for meetings and sport when control is in the project.
Speech for public meetings in a gym has to be understood. We specify or integrate PA and program audio with the wall.
Municipal staff need a path they can hand to a part-time operator. LUXVISION typically uses NovaStar processing. Training is at commissioning.
We start with the room: dimensions, viewing distance, how it is used, structure, power, and whether audio, lighting, and live video are in the project. Then a specification, coordination with the facilities team, installation, commissioning, and operator training. Spare modules stay on site so a failed cabinet is swapped, not left dark.
PROLUX Rugged
A protective LED mask keeps air-inflated sports balls off the diodes. Micro-grooves help perceived contrast. Perimeter trim protects edges as part of the mechanical design.
Earlier rugged products could lose magnetic modules on a hard hit. PROLUX Rugged uses a quarter-turn metal-to-metal interlock so modules stay on the wall and still service from the front.
Current PROLUX Rugged warranty context is 7 years, including impact from air-inflated sports balls.
Modules, cabling, and feeder access are designed from the front. That is required when a gym display is mounted tight to a wall with no rear aisle.
Gyms collect dust. Fans ingest that dust and then fail. PROLUX Rugged uses the cabinet as a heat sink with Mean Well supplies. There is no cooling fan in the documented architecture.
Pixels capable of about 3,900 nits are operated around 2,100 nits. The intent is less heat and less electrical infrastructure than driving the diodes to their maximum.
No. This is an indoor gym-class LED wall for rec and civic rooms that take sport use.
Yes. Those are layouts and modes on the same canvas. Control is specified so staff can switch.
Room survey, viewing distance, indoor product family, front service, spare modules, and whether audio and lighting are in scope. We will help write that from the actual room.
Yes. Outdoor cabinets are a different LUXVISION family.
