Arena scoreboards Edmonton

XL AV serves Edmonton. Indoor arena scoreboards are specified for community ice and multi-purpose bowls: scoring and video on LUXVISION PROLUX Rugged, with control rink staff can hand to event crews.

Community and campus bowls

Edmonton arena inquiries usually need a wall that works for house league, tournaments, and the occasional dry-floor rental. XL AV sizes PROLUX Rugged from seating distance and the content plan, then commissions an operator path rink staff will actually use.

Ice light and dry-floor light

House lighting changes when the ice comes out. The wall has to read in both conditions. We operate around 2,100 nits and coordinate lighting scenes when control is in scope.

Processor sized to the installed map

LUXVISION typically uses NovaStar processing. Controller selection follows pixel count for the wall you install. Spare modules stay on site after commissioning.

Typical uses

  • Edmonton community ice
  • Dry-floor sport
  • Public event video

PROLUX Rugged

The indoor gym wall

Under-driven, efficient LEDs

Pixels capable of about 3,900 nits are operated around 2,100 nits. The intent is less heat and less electrical infrastructure than driving the diodes to their maximum.

Repairable hardware

Locking power and data cables replace hub boards. Neutrik-style power and Cat6 keystone data keep field repairs inside normal technician practice.

Canadian-made PROLUX

PROLUX is LUXVISION's Canadian-made family. XL AV specifies it as a North American-supported gym platform.

Impact-resistant face and trim

A protective LED mask keeps air-inflated sports balls off the diodes. Micro-grooves help perceived contrast. Perimeter trim protects edges as part of the mechanical design.

Quarter-turn metal-to-metal modules

Earlier rugged products could lose magnetic modules on a hard hit. PROLUX Rugged uses a quarter-turn metal-to-metal interlock so modules stay on the wall and still service from the front.

7-year sports-impact warranty

Current PROLUX Rugged warranty context is 7 years, including impact from air-inflated sports balls over 6 inches in diameter, subject to manufacturer terms.

Full front service

Modules, cabling, and feeder access are designed from the front. That is required when a gym display is mounted tight to a wall with no rear aisle.

Fanless thermal design

Gyms collect dust. Fans ingest that dust and then fail. PROLUX Rugged uses the cabinet as a heat sink with Mean Well supplies. There is no cooling fan in the documented architecture.

Questions

Pro arena center-hung?

No. This page is community and campus indoor walls. Center-hung NHL packages are a different scope.

Can basketball dry-floor use the wall?

Yes. Mixed-use is the design case for many Edmonton community bowls.

What size do we need?

Farthest seat and whether live video shares the canvas. We map that on survey.

Invented rink names?

No. Room facts only.
