Interfaces for routine room tasks
RTI provides control processors, remotes, keypads, and touch interfaces. Integration Designer is used to build supported control and automation configurations. XL AV evaluates RTI for rooms that need coordinated operation of displays, sources, audio, and other compatible devices.
The required controls determine the interface format. A fixed teaching position may use a keypad or panel, while a presentation room may need a touch interface with source and volume controls. The device list establishes the required processor connections.
Drivers, commands, and operating sequences
We verify available device drivers and supported IP, serial, or infrared control methods for the proposed equipment. Programming includes source selection, power sequencing, volume, mute, and routine modes. Device status feedback is included where the hardware and control interface support it.
XL AV tests each programmed action with the installed devices, including startup, shutdown, and transitions between sources. Network settings and access requirements are coordinated with IT. Configuration backups and operating instructions are defined as part of handoff.
Preparing the room control brief
Provide an equipment list and describe the tasks staff need to complete. Include any lighting or shade interfaces and the location of each control point. For a service project, existing processor model numbers and project files help assess compatibility and the work required.
