A broad view of professional AV

The organizer identifies audio, broadcast AV, command and control, conferencing and collaboration, digital signage, and lighting and staging among the show-floor technology categories. Its education formats include workshops, tours, training courses, manufacturer training, and other sessions; the detailed 2027 schedule is still to be published at the time of this article.

For organizations planning AV work, that range offers a way to compare the disciplines that must operate together in a room. A display demonstration, for example, becomes more useful when considered alongside presentation sources, audio, controls, networking, and the people who will operate the system.

Use project requirements to guide the research

Begin with the spaces you need to improve: meeting rooms, classrooms, lecture theatres, gyms, civic meeting rooms, worship spaces, or event venues. Identify the tasks that fail today and the activities you want the next system to support. This gives product comparisons a practical basis.

Bring example presentation material, room layouts, source-device requirements, and IT standards to technical conversations. Ask how an equipment choice affects image detail, speech intelligibility, camera views, source changes, accessibility, and routine operation. Confirm which functions depend on additional hardware, software, licences, or network configuration.

For multi-office projects, consider consistency as well as individual room performance. Room interfaces, supported devices, documentation, training, and local support responsibilities all affect how a standard can be deployed across sites.

Turn demonstrations into design questions

A show demonstration takes place under conditions selected for that demonstration. Record the equipment configuration, content, viewing distance, and operating mode before comparing it with your own room. Product availability and supported integrations should be checked during project design.

For LED applications, evaluate image size, pixel pitch, content, mounting, service access, and environmental requirements together. XL AV selects LUXVISION families according to the application. For other AV disciplines, compare the complete signal path and operator workflow rather than an isolated feature list.

Prepare before the programme is finalized

Use the confirmed dates to begin planning, then return to the organizer’s website as education, exhibitor, and registration details develop. Establish a short list of project requirements before deciding which sessions or demonstrations to prioritize.

XL AV can help define the room requirements and integration scope for a new system, upgrade, or multi-site rollout. Bring your site list, intended activities, existing equipment, budget range, and timing to a consultation.
