Crestron Control
XL AV uses Crestron Control to operate meeting and learning rooms as one system. Displays, sources, UC, lighting, and shades respond from a single touch screen or keypad.
One interface for the whole room
Separate remotes and wall plates for the display, codec, and lighting add steps for users and support calls for IT. Crestron Control combines those functions on one touch screen or keypad path.
XL AV maps that path to how the room is used: walk in, share a laptop, join a hybrid call, change sources, and power the room down when the meeting ends.
Consistent rooms across a floor or campus
When conference rooms behave differently, support load increases. Crestron Control supports room types you design once and deploy many times. Staff learn one join, share, and shutdown pattern. IT and facilities support one documented standard.
Hardware can differ by room size or budget. User-facing flows stay aligned: same join flow, same share flow, same end-of-meeting steps.
Built for reliability and security
Enterprise and government deployments often require authentication, encryption, and management that fit IT policy. We include those requirements in the control design from the start of the AV scope.
Remote management through XiO Cloud is available when the project needs provisioning, monitoring, and lifecycle tools across many rooms. See the XiO Cloud page in this set for detail.
How XL AV delivers Crestron
We document room types, UC platform, and which environmental systems belong on the UI. Then we select hardware, program control, install, commission, test, and train operators. The finished system matches the workflows staff use daily.
Typical uses
- Meeting and huddle rooms
- Classrooms and lecture halls
- Boardrooms and training rooms
- Multi-room standards
Questions
What does Crestron Control actually control?
In rooms we design: AV routing, displays, UC workflows, and often lighting, shades, and HVAC when those systems are in scope and integrable.
What room counts does Crestron Control cover?
Projects range from a single boardroom to a campus standard. Deployment method changes with room count and IT standards.
Do users need training every time?
We program and commission Crestron interfaces so staff can start a meeting, share content, and shut the room down without calling AV. Training covers the workflows your rooms use.
Who programs and installs it?
XL AV surveys the space, specifies hardware, programs control logic, installs equipment, commissions the system, and trains operators.
